Our Doctors

Randy A. Davis, DVM

Dr. Davis is originally from Henderson, KY. After completing his BS degree at Western Kentucky University in 1977, he attended veterinary school at Auburn University. He graduated in 1981 with his DVM degree.

Upon graduation, he worked in Hodgenville, KY in a mixed animal practice for 3 years. In the fall of 1984, Dr Davis and his family moved back to the Tri-State area with the purchasing of Spencer Animal Hospital in Evansville, IN. Dr Davis practiced at that location until a merger with the Chateau Dog & Cat Hospital in the fall of 1998.

Outside the office Dr Davis enjoys spending time with his family, Gail and 2 adult children Leslie and Mitchell. He attends NorthEast Park Baptist church and is a Bible study teacher there. Leisure activities include working around the house, playing golf and riding his motorcycle.

His family includes 2 dogs, Jimi and Wilbur.

Richard A. Lawson, DVM

Dr. Lawson calls Newburgh, IN his home. He received his BS degree from the University of Evansville in 1981, and completed a masters in general biology at the University of Illinois in 1984. He did a clinical year at St. Vincent's Hospital, in Indianapolis, IN in medical technology. He worked there from 1985 to 1989 as a medical technologist. He then went to St. Louis University and attained a BS degree in perfusion technology in 1991. From there he went to vet school at the University of Missouri and received his DVM in 1995. He worked at Greenbrier Animal Hospital from 1995-2015, as a small animal practitioner.

Outside of the office, he is married to Karen, a pediatric physical therapist. His hobbies are his three children, Kaitlyn, Jon, and Megan. They attend Trinity UMC. He is also a Civil War buff, and unfortunately, a Illinois and Cubs fan!

He also has three cats and a Boston Terrier, "Baxter".
